We had a great day at the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva. The Intergenerational Day is designed to captivate young generations of Pioneers (children and grandchildren of members). It’s also a day all ages will enjoy, and all are welcome.
Our busy day included:
- A guided tour of the Limberlost Cabin
- A hike to Rainbow Bottom to see the giant sycamore trees
- A tour of the Ceylon Covered Bridge, the last covered bridge on the Wabash River
- A “match game” on how well we knew Gene Stratton Porter
- A wildlife program and other activities
- And a box lunch!
The event was on Thursday, July 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
